I will briefly tell you about how my attempts to lose weight led me to health issues. I heard about this diet and decided to try it. Since I have the first blood type, I could hardly eat anything at all. Except dairy products, oatmeal, bread and everything that for me was an integral part of the diet. I decided it was worth a try. I made a menu of products that I can eat, I ate them every day, and honestly, I have never felt so disgusted with food.

Apparently, the essence of the diet is that you do not want to eat these foods (and they are the same every day). In one month I lost 4 kilos, not because the diet is so good, but because I really did not eat and starve.

My whole menu was disgusting to me! Therefore, I made the choice not to eat at all, than to eat what I do not like. Bottom line: on proper nutrition, giving up sugar and drinking plenty of water, I lost 11kg in almost 9 months. I think anyone can do it. But the blood type diet is clearly not the best thing that has happened to me in my life.

I did not have a relationship with the blood type diet. It's the hardest part of my life, to be honest. Since I have a 2+ group, my diet consisted of almost the same foods as the vegetarians. No meat, only soy. The entire menu consisted of vegetables, fruits, soybeans, legumes and grains. I could not have any of the products that I love very much. This became a real test.

A week later I was already on my nerves due to hunger, I noticed how my nails started to crack and how much my hair fell off (and it's only a week). I was able to live a month on this diet. From 77 kilos I lost myself to 73, but I think it is impossible to sit on such a diet all my life (at least for me). It was a real test. Yes, the result was, but I did not feel comfortable eating food that was supposedly allowed for me.

Bottom line: eat what you like in moderation and get your vitamins just by eating right.

I love this diet! For 7 years now, my diet has been completely built on the products that I can use according to this diet system. I needed to lose weight and I bought a book by Dr. d’Adamo, who actually became the first to discover this diet and described it in his book. Permitted, neutral and prohibited products were painted. Some I ate regularly, some I ate occasionally, and others I completely excluded from the diet.

I have a blood type 2, which means my menu is semi-vegetarian. And I was pleasantly surprised to learn this, because I do not like meat at all, and I love what was on the list of allowed foods.
